Ja’Marr Chase has been relatively quiet this season, but I’m expecting a breakout performance against the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals are coming off a bye week, giving Chase extra time to rest and prepare for a defense he has absolutely torched throughout his career.

The numbers speak for themselves. Chase has averaged an incredible 120.4 receiving yards per game in 10 regular-season meetings with Baltimore, totaling 1,204 yards and eight touchdowns. In their two meetings last season, he recorded 110 and 132 receiving yards, comfortably clearing this number both times. In 2024, he was even more dominant, exploding for 193 yards and 264 yards in consecutive matchups. That’s a staggering 457 yards in two games.

Baltimore’s defense presents a challenge, but it has allowed big plays against elite receivers. The Ravens have recorded 15 sacks and three interceptions through six games this season, numbers that show they can pressure quarterbacks and create turnovers. However, limiting Chase is a different challenge altogether. Baltimore cornerback Marlon Humphrey has faced him frequently, and Chase has accumulated 318 receiving yards in 21 targets against Humphrey, according to Next Gen Stats.

Chase has 289 receiving yards and four touchdowns through five games this season, averaging 57.8 yards per game. Those numbers might not inspire confidence at first glance, but his history against Baltimore is impossible to ignore. With quarterback Joe Burrow leading the offense and a week off to get ready, this is an ideal opportunity for Chase to get back on track.

I expect Chase to surpass 100 receiving yards, making the 79.5-yard line look very manageable. This is a favorable number for a receiver with his talent and track record against this opponent.

The Pick: Ja’Marr Chase Over 79.5 Receiving Yards.
