The Long Island Ducks wrapped up a memorable 2026 season at Fairfield Properties Ballpark, celebrating the franchise’s 26th year in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball with another championship and continued success in the community.
The season featured record-setting performances on the field and another impressive showing at the box office. The Ducks captured their fifth Atlantic League Championship, finished with the league’s best regular-season record and led the Atlantic League in attendance for the 20th time.
Long Island finished the regular season 80-46, earning its 10th division championship before sweeping the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in the Atlantic League Championship Series. The Ducks went a perfect 6-0 in the postseason, completing the first undefeated playoff run in franchise history and just the third in league history.
The Ducks also continued to draw strong crowds. They welcomed 295,002 fans during the regular season, averaging 4,683 per game, and led all MLB Partner Leagues in total attendance for the sixth consecutive season. The franchise has now welcomed more than 9.7 million fans to Fairfield Properties Ballpark since its inaugural season in 2000.
Individually, Jorge Bonifacio delivered a historic first season with Long Island, earning Team MVP honors after setting franchise single-season records with 30 home runs and 108 RBIs. He also earned a place on the Atlantic League’s Drake All-Defensive Team after recording no errors in 86 outfield games. Trevor Bauer provided another memorable highlight, throwing a no-hitter on April 26 against Lancaster and striking out a franchise-record 15 batters on May 12 against Gastonia. Wilmer Difo stole a franchise-record 60 bases, while the Ducks established new team records with 190 home runs and 320 stolen bases.
The organization’s impact extended beyond baseball. A Discover Long Island report estimated the Ducks generated $501 million in economic impact during their first 25 seasons at Fairfield Properties Ballpark, contributing approximately $20 million annually to the local economy.
The 2026 campaign also marked a transition in ownership to REV Entertainment, the Texas Rangers’ sports and entertainment company, concluding the tenure of founding owner Frank Boulton. In May, the Ducks honored Boulton with an appreciation night, and the Atlantic League announced that its championship trophy would be renamed the Frank Boulton Trophy.
From championship celebrations to record crowds and historic individual performances, the Ducks’ 2026 season added another memorable chapter to Long Island’s baseball tradition.
