Kylie DiMenna Earns AVCA All-America Watch List Recognition

The Sachem North girls volleyball program has another reason to be excited about the upcoming season as senior star Kylie DiMenna has earned recognition on the 2026 AVCA Girls High School All-America Watch List.

DiMenna’s selection puts her among a group of high school volleyball players being recognized nationally for their outstanding play as they enter their senior seasons. The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 2026 Girls High School All-America Watch List last week.

For Sachem North, having one of its own players receive national recognition is another indication of the talent returning to the program this season.

The AVCA All-America Watch List is designed to recognize top senior student-athletes who have already received significant recognition for their volleyball abilities. Players on the list are expected to be considered for AVCA All-America honors later in the season.

That makes DiMenna’s inclusion a significant accomplishment as she prepares for her final high school season.

The watch list also gives high school athletes an opportunity to receive national exposure beyond their local competition. For players hoping to continue their volleyball careers at the collegiate level, recognition from an organization such as the AVCA can be another important part of the recruiting process.

For DiMenna, the honor adds another accomplishment to what promises to be a memorable senior year.

The watch list is only the beginning, with the AVCA noting that being included does not automatically constitute a nomination for its All-America teams. Coaches must submit a separate nomination for athletes to be considered for those honors later in the fall.
