Smithtown Cross Country Extends Championship Streak to 10 Straight

The Smithtown boys varsity cross-country team continues to set the pace in Suffolk County, capturing its 10th consecutive League I championship and adding another milestone to an impressive run of dominance.

The Bulls have established themselves as one of the area’s premier programs, combining talent, consistency and teamwork to remain at the top of the league year after year. Winning one championship is an accomplishment in itself, but putting together 10 straight titles speaks to the dedication of the athletes and the strength of the program.

Smithtown’s success extends beyond the championship streak. The team has also recorded 61 consecutive meet victories, a remarkable stretch that highlights its ability to deliver week after week against league competition.

That kind of consistency requires contributions from the entire roster. Cross country is often viewed as an individual sport, with runners competing against the clock and their opponents, but team success depends on every athlete doing their part. Smithtown’s continued excellence reflects the commitment, preparation and competitive spirit that have helped the Bulls maintain their place at the top.

The 10 consecutive League I championships also represent the work put in by the athletes and coaches across multiple seasons. Each year brings a new group of runners, new challenges and fresh competition, yet Smithtown has continued to find ways to win.

With 10 straight league crowns and 61 consecutive meet victories, the Bulls have built a winning tradition that continues to grow. Their latest championship adds another chapter to one of the most impressive runs in local high school cross-country.

The Smithtown Booster Club recognized the team’s accomplishment, celebrating the runners’ continued success and another season at the top of League I.
