Homecoming weekend was extra special for Shoreham-Wading River, as the Wildcats gave their home crowd plenty to cheer about with a dominant 28-0 victory over Center Moriches. SWR delivered a strong performance on both sides of the ball, earning a Suffolk IV win and giving local fans a memorable afternoon.

The Wildcats controlled the game with a balanced offensive attack, led by quarterback Noah Gregorek, who contributed both through the air and on the ground. Gregorek completed five of nine passes for 62 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown pass to Jarad LaRosa. He also rushed seven times for 80 yards and two touchdowns, putting together an impressive all-around performance.

The ground game was another major factor in the victory, with Javon Wright leading the way. Wright carried the ball 19 times for 143 yards and a touchdown, consistently helping the Wildcats move the chains and keep the offense rolling.

LaRosa also made his presence felt in the passing game, hauling in four catches for 52 yards, including his touchdown reception from Gregorek. His contributions helped SWR take advantage of its opportunities and put points on the board.

While the offense provided plenty of highlights, the Wildcats' defense was equally impressive. Shutting out an opponent is never an easy task, and SWR's ability to keep Center Moriches off the scoreboard helped make the homecoming celebration even sweeter. The complete team effort showed what the Wildcats can accomplish when both sides of the ball are clicking.

The victory gives Shoreham-Wading River a boost as it continues its Suffolk IV schedule. With the season moving forward, the Wildcats will look to build on the momentum from their homecoming performance and climb back toward the .500 mark.

Next up, SWR faces Mattituck/Greenport/Southold, with an opportunity to earn another win and even its record at 3-3. After delivering a convincing shutout in front of their home fans, the Wildcats will look to carry that energy into their next matchup.
