Vegas Is the Play: Lay the Puck Line and Cash In
They couldn't make this line big enough for me to get off this play, but they certainly tried.

They couldn't make this line big enough for me to get off this play, but they certainly tried. I have no answers for what happened to the Ducks at home against this terrible Flames team, but I have a hard time believing Calgary is going to win two games in a row on the road, especially against a Vegas team that can light up the scoreboard.
The Flames have been a defensive disaster, allowing 29 goals this season. That's nearly five goals per game, and now they have to deal with a Vegas offense that has been rolling. The Golden Knights have already scored 29 goals themselves and are averaging 3.63 goals per game. That's a brutal matchup for a Calgary team that has struggled to keep the puck out of its own net.
Offensively, the Flames haven't exactly been setting the world on fire, either. They've scored just 12 goals in six games, an average of two per contest. That's simply not enough firepower to keep pace with a Vegas team that can turn a game into a track meet in a hurry.
I'm not overthinking this one. Calgary's defensive issues, Vegas' offensive firepower and the difference in these teams' scoring production all point in the same direction. The Knights have the firepower to win comfortably, and I'm willing to lay the extra goal to get the better payout.
