Ten Indicted in $1M Suffolk County Spa Prostitution Ring
Gold bars and cash seized after three Huntington massage parlors allegedly operated as fronts for prostitution and money laundering

A massage parlor owner and nine associates were indicted on charges of running a large-scale prostitution ring and illegal massage operation out of four Suffolk County businesses, including three in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced Thursday.
Prosecutors said the operation generated more than $1 million in illicit proceeds between February 2025 and June 2026. The four businesses named as corporate defendants are Long Island Green Apple Spa Inc., Lavender Spa Salon Inc. and Huntington Spa NY Inc. — all in Huntington — and 192 Foot Spa Inc. in Flushing, Queens.
Xiaolan Gong, 59, of Flushing, is accused of owning and operating the four parlors and using them as fronts for prostitution.
Eight female co-defendants — Xiaofang Cao, Meilan Zhou, Yuping Cheng, Shan Shan Gong, Yazhi Lyu, Xiaoxia Chen, Xiaomei Sun and Dongmei Yu — are accused of providing unlicensed massages and offering to perform sexual acts in exchange for cash to undercover law enforcement officers, prosecutors said. Xiaoyi Liu, 57, of Bayside, the sole male co-defendant, is accused of depositing money into a business account linked to one of the parlors and driving workers to the locations when Gong was unavailable, prosecutors said.
Gong and Lyu also face charges of submitting employment documents containing false statements to the New York State Department of Labor, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said patrons were encouraged to pay in cash to conceal the volume and nature of transactions, and that proceeds were used to make mortgage payments on two residences and fund a brokerage investment account.
Authorities seized cash and gold bars during search warrant executions Tuesday at the four parlors and four residences, and moved to freeze two properties.
The investigation was conducted by the Suffolk County Police Department's District Attorney Squad in partnership with Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office and the NYPD. "Behind the appearance of legitimate businesses was a criminal enterprise that generated more than $1 million through prostitution and illegal massages," Suffolk County Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina said.
