William Floyd Announces Homecoming Weekend Details

The William Floyd School District is reminding students, families and community members about the schedule and important attendance procedures for Homecoming weekend, set for Saturday, Sept. 26.

Homecoming festivities will feature the traditional parade, Homecoming Court crowning and varsity football game between the William Floyd Colonials and Brentwood.

The Homecoming parade will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, starting at the William Floyd High School south parking lot. Participants will march past William Paca Middle School and Tangier Smith Elementary School before arriving at the Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex.

The Homecoming Court will be crowned following the parade, with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m.

The district is also reminding spectators of attendance and security procedures designed to provide a safe environment.

All spectators must present valid government-issued identification for admission.

William Floyd students and students from the opposing school must show school identification. Students from other districts not participating in the game will not be admitted. Elementary and middle school students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

No spectators will be admitted after halftime. All exits after the third quarter are final, and bags and backpacks are subject to search. Spectators must remain in the stands during the game and are prohibited from entering the field during or after the contest.

The Hounslow Road gates will close at the conclusion of halftime and will not reopen until the game ends.
