Besides the obvious point that the Yankees have one of the best records in baseball while the Rockies have one of the worst, this game gets some extra juice because New York welcomes Aaron Judge back to the lineup.

That should provide a spark for the Yankees, but they won't need much help here with Cam Schlittler on the mound.

Simply put, Schlittler has been one of the best road pitchers in baseball this season but pitching at home he has been nearly as brilliant.

Now he takes on one of the worst road teams in baseball. The Rockies offense isn't bad statistically, but it drops off a cliff away from Coors.

On the other side, Colorado will send youngster Gabriel Hughes to the mound. His 0-6 record and ERA around 6.00 are pretty indicative of how his season has gone, and now he has to deal with a Yankees lineup that is getting its biggest star back.

This is one of those games where the matchup simply looks better for New York across the board.

The Yankees have the better team, the better pitcher and now get Judge back in the lineup. Colorado has struggled all season, and Hughes has yet to give the Rockies much reason for confidence.

The Yankees should roll here.

And while I usually hate laying the run line, this feels like a spot where it makes sense.
