Pat-Med’s Knoth Moves One Step Closer to the Big Leagues

Former Patchogue-Medford standout Josh Knoth is one step closer to his goal of reaching the Major Leagues after earning another promotion in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.

The Brewers promoted Knoth to Double-A this past week, where he will join the Biloxi Shuckers. The move represents another important step in the young pitcher’s professional baseball journey after being selected by Milwaukee in the first round of the 2023 MLB Draft.

Knoth has continued to develop since entering the organization and has put together a strong season on the mound. Before receiving the promotion, the former Pat-Med star struck out 74 batters over 74 innings while making 17 starts.

Now, he gets the opportunity to take on the next level of competition with Biloxi.

Knoth's rise has been closely followed back home in the Patchogue-Medford community, where he established himself as one of the area's top young baseball players before taking his talents to the professional ranks.

The Patchogue-Medford School District celebrated the promotion and the continued success of one of its former student-athletes, recognizing Knoth for representing the community throughout his baseball journey.

For a young pitcher, moving through the minor leagues is all about development, consistency and proving that you belong at each new level. Knoth has continued to do just that, and his latest promotion shows that the Brewers remain confident in his potential.

The jump to Double-A is significant, putting Knoth another step closer to the Major Leagues and the ultimate goal every young player dreams about when they begin their professional career.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but for Knoth, another milestone has already been reached.

And for the Pat-Med community, there will undoubtedly be plenty of eyes on the former Raider as he continues his journey toward the big leagues.
