The 2026 Stony Brook University Athletics Hall of Fame class was recognized during a special presentation Friday night at Stony Brook Arena, bringing together five individuals who made significant impacts in their respective sports.
This year’s class includes Matt Senk, who was honored for his legendary career with Stony Brook baseball; Dominick Reyes ’13, a standout football player; Demmianne Cook ’13, who made her mark with Stony Brook women’s lacrosse; Almaris Miranda ’01, who starred for the Seawolves volleyball program; and Mykeema Ford, a standout in Stony Brook women’s basketball.
Each inductee represents a different chapter in Stony Brook’s athletic history, but all five share a common connection to a university that has continued to grow on the national collegiate sports scene.
Senk’s inclusion is particularly notable, as his name has long been synonymous with Stony Brook baseball. During his time with the program, he helped establish a winning culture that became a defining part of Seawolves athletics.
Reyes, Cook, Miranda and Ford likewise left their respective programs with accomplishments that helped elevate Stony Brook athletics and provided a lasting legacy for the student-athletes who followed.
The Hall of Fame ceremony provided an opportunity for Stony Brook to celebrate those accomplishments while bringing together former teammates, coaches, family members, friends and members of the university community.
For local Stony Brook fans, the evening was also a reminder of the talented athletes and coaches who have helped build the Seawolves into the program it is today. The newest Hall of Fame class now joins a distinguished group of individuals whose accomplishments remain an important part of Stony Brook’s athletic history.
