Young Soccer Players Invited to William Floyd Camp

With excitement surrounding the sport of soccer at an all-time high following this summer's thrilling World Cup, the William Floyd School District is ready to welcome the next generation of players back onto the field.

The William Floyd Athletic Department has announced that registration is open for its 2026 Preseason Boys and Girls Soccer Camp, giving young athletes the opportunity to sharpen their skills before the fall season begins.

The camp will run Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, and is open to students entering grades 1 through 12. Participants will receive instruction from two William Floyd varsity head coaches, who will lead drills, skill development, and game situations designed to prepare players of all experience levels for the upcoming season.

The girls' camp will take place at Woodhull Turf Stadium, while the boys' camp will be held at the Lincoln Avenue Athletic Complex.

The preseason camp is part of the William Floyd Athletic Department's annual summer camp lineup, which offers a variety of sports for students throughout the district. Whether athletes are looking to improve their technical skills, build confidence, or simply enjoy the game with teammates and friends, the camp provides a fun and competitive environment to help them prepare for the fall.

Registration is $125 per athlete and is open to William Floyd School District residents. Interested families must submit a completed enrollment form along with payment to the William Floyd High School Athletic Office.

In addition to providing valuable instruction for young athletes, proceeds from the camp will benefit the William Floyd Athletic Department by helping purchase supplies and equipment that support the district's athletic programs.
