Brookhaven Crowns Summer Bocce League Champions

The Town of Brookhaven has crowned its Summer Bocce League champions, bringing another successful season of competition to a close.

After plenty of games, laughs and friendly competition, Team Stunods came out on top, earning the Gold Medal and first-place finish. Team Oddballs followed closely behind, taking home the Silver Medal and second-place finish.

The Summer Bocce League has become a great way for Brookhaven residents to get outside, meet their neighbors and enjoy some friendly competition during the warmer months. While the games are competitive, the league is also about having fun and building community.

The league organizers took a moment to thank everyone who participated throughout the season.

“Thank you to all who participated! We had such a great time,” the league said.

And for those who weren't able to get involved this summer, there is already another opportunity to grab a bocce ball and join the fun.

The Town of Brookhaven still has room available in its Monday night Fall Bocce League.

The fall league provides another chance for players of all experience levels to compete, enjoy some time outdoors and meet other members of the community. Whether you're a longtime bocce player or someone who has never picked up a bocce ball before, the league offers a fun way to get involved.

For Team Stunods, the summer season ends with a Gold Medal and bragging rights. For Team Oddballs, the Silver Medal gives them plenty to build on heading into the next season.

And for everyone else, there is still time to join the action this fall.

The Summer Bocce League may be finished, but in Brookhaven, the competition isn't over yet.
