Carolina Looks Ready to Run the Hawks Out of the Building

The Hurricanes have owned this matchup, and right now, there’s little reason to believe the Blackhawks are equipped to change that. Carolina is rolling, Chicago is struggling, and with Connor Bedard sidelined, this has all the makings of an ugly night for the Hawks.
The Canes have won nine of the last 10 meetings between these teams and 18 of the last 22 overall. That kind of head-to-head dominance is hard to ignore, especially when Carolina just exploded for seven goals in its last game. This offense is clicking, and the individual hot streaks make the matchup even more dangerous for Chicago.
Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov have each scored in four consecutive games, while Mark Jankowski has found the back of the net in three straight. When multiple players are producing at this level, opposing defenses have nowhere to hide. The Hurricanes have the firepower to turn this into a long night in a hurry.
Chicago, meanwhile, has lost four of its first five games and has been outscored 21-10 across five games without Bedard. Losing your star player is one thing; trying to keep pace with a team as hot as Carolina without him is another. The Hawks have struggled to generate enough offense, and now they’re facing a Hurricanes squad that has repeatedly had their number.
From a betting perspective, this is the kind of mismatch that demands attention. Carolina has the form, the firepower and the history on its side, while Chicago is dealing with a significant absence and a defense that has been giving up too much.
I’m not looking for a miracle comeback from the Hawks here. The Canes have too many weapons, too much momentum and too much history in their favor.
The pick: Carolina to win decisively. This has a blowout written all over it, and I want no part of standing in front of the Hurricanes right now.
