Ducks Earn Two Atlantic League Honors

The Long Island Ducks have another reason to celebrate following a successful 2026 season, earning two prestigious Atlantic League honors. The league announced its annual Administrative Awards, as voted on by its member clubs, with QuackerJack being named Mascot of the Year and the Ducks receiving the Outstanding Clubhouse Service Award for the third consecutive season.

The recognition highlights the hard work and dedication of the people who help make the Ducks organization special, both on and off the field.

“Thank you to our fellow Atlantic League clubs for selecting QuackerJack and our clubhouse staff for these two honors,” said Ducks General Manager Sean Smith. “It’s tremendously important for our fans off the field and our players and coaches on the field to enjoy a top-notch experience, and both QJ and our clubhouse staff work tirelessly to ensure we live up to that expectation.”

For QuackerJack, this marks the fourth time he has received the league's Mascot of the Year award since its introduction in 2015, having previously earned the honor in 2015, 2017 and 2023. The beloved mascot remains a familiar face throughout Long Island, participating in school visits, little league events, holiday parades, hospital visits and charitable activities throughout the year.

QuackerJack also earned his 16th consecutive Best of Long Island Award earlier this year as Long Island's Best Sports Mascot and serves as president of the Ducks Kids Club, presented by FourLeaf Federal Credit Union.

The clubhouse award recognizes organizations that consistently exceed league standards for clubhouse and umpire dressing room operations. Led by Clubhouse Manager Emil Coccaro, who recently completed his 21st season with the Ducks, the staff has helped maintain an outstanding environment for players, coaches and officials. Assistant Clubhouse Manager Stephen Guadagno-Levin and the team's game-day staff also played important roles.

Coccaro called the third consecutive honor especially meaningful, noting how proud he is to see the staff's hard work recognized by their Atlantic League peers.

Following their championship season, the Ducks continue to demonstrate that their success extends well beyond the playing field.
