Huskers Will Score and Score Often

I’m going against Bowling Green again here because I watched every down last week, and this Falcons defense simply can’t stop anyone.

The Huskers finished with more than 200 yards rushing and 200 yards passing last week, and that’s a nightmare matchup for this Bowling Green defense. Nebraska can beat you in multiple ways, and I expect the Huskers to keep their foot on the gas even if they build a big lead.

Offensively, the Falcons can move the football. Bowling Green totaled 366 yards of offense last week and showed it can put together drives. That is important here because I don’t necessarily need the Falcons to win this game—I just need them to do their part to help push the total over.

UNLV transfer Anthony Colandrea threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns last week while also running for another score. Nebraska's ground game was just as impressive, with the Huskers rushing for 248 yards, their most in a game since 2023.

I expect Nebraska to get to 40 points, and I wouldn't be shocked if the Huskers get to 50 all by themselves. If Bowling Green can contribute a couple of touchdowns along the way, this total should have a very good chance of getting there.

I’m not overthinking this one.

The Pick: Over 49 1/2 points
