Samantha Heyman Earns Bob Wolff Memorial Scholarship

Half Hollow Hills East Class of 2026 graduate Samantha Heyman is adding another impressive accomplishment to her high school career after being selected as a recipient of News 12's Bob Wolff Memorial Scholarship.

Heyman was surprised with the $2,000 scholarship, which recognizes outstanding scholar-athletes who have distinguished themselves both in the classroom and through athletics.

The scholarship honors the legacy of Bob Wolff, the longtime sports broadcaster whose legendary career included decades of covering New York sports. The award is presented to student-athletes who demonstrate the combination of academic achievement, athletic dedication and character that Wolff represented throughout his career.

For Heyman, receiving the scholarship provided a memorable way to cap her time at Half Hollow Hills East.

The surprise recognition was made even more special by the fact that Heyman had no idea the honor was coming. She was presented with the $2,000 scholarship as family, friends and members of the Half Hollow Hills community celebrated her accomplishment.

Half Hollow Hills shared its congratulations, posting, "We are so proud of Samantha and this well-deserved recognition."
