Crime Stoppers: Who Abandoned This Dog In Shirley?

Authorities are hunting for the person who abandoned a malnourished dog in Shirley last month, leaving the animal in need of medical care.

The mixed-breed female dog was discovered August 24th near Dawn Drive, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. The dog was found malnourished and was taken for medical attention.

Now Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s BEAST, Biological, Environmental, and Animal Safety Team, Unit are asking the public to help identify and locate the person responsible.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
