My First NFL Play: Let’s Light the Fuse

This is my first NFL play of the year, and after going 11-2 on my free plays this month, I’m on fire and like this one quite a bit.

A $100 player would be up $2,382 if they had been following my free plays this summer. Now it’s time to take that momentum to the NFL.

Today, the Chargers have a new offensive coordinator, and he wants to prove a point. In fact, I think the entire offense does.

Justin Herbert gets a real good offensive mind to help unlock his potential, while Omarion Hampton should be a force behind him. But for me, it starts up front. Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater are healthy, and when those two are on the line, you can make a strong argument that they are both at the top of their positions.

I expect the Chargers to run the ball effectively and move the football efficiently all day against what could be the worst defense in the NFL. If Los Angeles is clicking the way I expect, I’d be shocked if the Chargers were held under 30 points.

I do expect Arizona to contribute, though. Jacoby Brissett should have plenty of opportunities to throw the ball to Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr., and I expect the Cardinals to get on the scoreboard a few times.

Put it all together, and I think we have a game that gets into the 50s.

I’m not overthinking this one. I’ll take the Over 47 points.
