Sayville's Jack Lankowicz Commits to LIU

Sayville High School catcher Jack Lankowicz is staying close to home for the next chapter of his baseball career.

The rising senior and member of the Class of 2027 has announced his commitment to Long Island University, where he will continue both his academic and athletic career.

Lankowicz has become a steady presence behind the plate for the Golden Flashes, earning a reputation as one of the area's hardworking and dependable catchers. His commitment to LIU is the latest milestone in a baseball journey built on dedication, perseverance, and countless hours of work on the field.

Those who have coached Lankowicz throughout his development have seen that work ethic firsthand.

Eric Strovink, the Mount Sinai varsity baseball coach and coach of the Blue Line Rangers, praised Lankowicz following the announcement.
