Mrs. Met Makes Mascot History

Mets fans have another reason to celebrate, and this one comes with a big smile and an even bigger baseball-sized head.

Mrs. Met has officially been elected to the Mascot Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026, earning a place among the most beloved mascots in sports history.

The honor is particularly meaningful because Mrs. Met becomes the first female mascot ever inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame. She will also be joining her husband, Mr. Met, who was previously inducted into the Hall.

That makes the Mets the first organization to have two mascots enshrined in the Mascot Hall of Fame.

Not bad for a couple who have spent years entertaining fans at Citi Field and representing the Mets throughout the community.

Mrs. Met has been a familiar face at Mets games and events for decades, becoming an important part of the team's identity alongside Mr. Met. Whether she's dancing in the stands, interacting with fans or cheering on the Mets, she has played a major role in creating the fun and family-friendly atmosphere that surrounds the organization.

Now, she gets to add another accomplishment to her résumé.

The Mascot Hall of Fame recognizes mascots who have made a lasting impact on their teams, communities and fans. Mrs. Met's induction makes history while also recognizing the role mascots play in sports beyond simply entertaining crowds during games.

And while the Mets haven't always made their fans smile on the baseball field, Mrs. Met has certainly done her part to bring plenty of smiles to generations of fans.

Her induction also gives the Mets a unique distinction. With both Mr. Met and Mrs. Met now members of the Mascot Hall of Fame, the organization becomes the first in sports to have a husband-and-wife mascot team represented in the Hall.

So congratulations to Mrs. Met on a well-deserved honor.

She may not be able to hit a home run or throw a 95-mph fastball, but she has officially hit a home run with the Mascot Hall of Fame.
